[NFL!] TMQ: Tuesday Morning Quarterback

上面有關電光台灣籍啦啦隊員Tiffany的推文中 我跟原PO都有提到 "TMQ"

"TMQ? 哩公蝦? 那是甚麼? 可以吃嗎?"

TMQ是Tuesday Morning Quarterback的簡稱...這是ESPN.com Page 2
(專寫搞笑酸文的網站) 其中一名作家 Gregg Easterbrook的暱稱.
這個專欄在NFL球季間每星期二約美東時間中午十二點上站...結構大概是這樣子的:

- 第一大段當然是把上禮拜的球賽做個總結...如果有啥熱門話題, TMQ會在此
  寫出他個人的申論 (Favre 回娘家, BB go for 4th down之類的)

- 第二大段是Stats of the Week...這一段是我再忙也會抽空閱讀, 小的最近
  有衝文章數的需求, 所以從今天至球季末, 會把這一段翻譯+簡述

- 第三段是Cheerleader of the Week...每個禮拜介紹一位正妹啦啦隊員...
  上禮拜那個Tiffany在我印象中是第一個上TMQ的台灣籍啦啦隊員, 也會對
  正妹的正職/學歷/背景做簡述 (啦啦隊員通常算打工性質)

- 看完正妹之後 TMQ會對上禮拜的幾個重要play+教練決定做更深的探討
  通常都是blitz的比率啊...4th and short應該要go/punt/FG...Timeout的運用
  之類的...之後會抓幾場冷門的NCAA比賽作文章 (通常是Division 2 or 3)
  而且通常是抓高比分的...再後面也會探討一些時事

TMQ很喜歡幫NFL 32隊取綽號, 有空我會整理出一個列表...32隊都有喔

Stats of the week No. 1:  Indianapolis has won 18 of 19 games, and five
of its past 6 vs New England.

本周數據 #1: 印城最近十九場贏了十八場; 對上愛國者近六場贏了五場

Stats of the week No. 2:  On Sunday, two Dolphins player threw passes,
three rushed the ball and seven caught passes. On the season, four Miami
players have thrown passes, 10 have carried the ball and 11 have caught
passes.

本周數據 #2: 禮拜天對海盜的比賽中, 海豚有兩個"四分衛"傳過球, 三名球員
持球跑陣, 七名球員接球成功. 而本季有四名海豚球員傳過球, 十名球員持球
跑陣, 十一位球員接球成功.

Stats of the week No. 3:  The Eagles are 0-2 in California, 5-2 in all
other states.

本周數據 #3: 老鷹今年在加州零勝二敗, 在其他四十九州五勝二敗.

Stats of the week No. 4:  In his past 10 starts, Jay Cutler has thrown 19
interceptions.

Stats of the week No. 5:  Since taking the field for Super Bowl XLI
against Indianapolis, Chicago is 20-22.

本周數據 #5: 兩年前殺進超級盃的阿熊, 這2.5個球季只有二十勝二十二敗.

Stats of the week No. 6:  Tennessee followed a 0-7 streak with a 3-0
streak; Denver followed a 6-0 streakwith an 0-3 streak.

本周數據 #6: 泰坦七連敗後開出三連勝; 野馬六連勝後開出三連敗.

Stats of the week No. 7:  On Seattle's first possession against Arizona,
the Seahawks rushed for more yards than in their previous game against
Arizona (24 yards versus 14).

本周數據 #7: 海鷹在禮拜天對紅雀第一個持球權跑陣二十四碼; 上一場對紅雀
整場只跑陣了十四碼.

Stats of the week No. 8:  (Bonus college stat) Against Boise State, Idaho
gained 514 yards on offense -- and lost by 38 points.

本周數據 #8: 愛達荷大學對Boise St攻了514碼.....最後還是輸了38分.

Stats of the week No. 9:  JaMarcus Russell, a quarterback taken first
overall in the draft, has two touchdown passes, five lost fumbles and
nine interceptions.  Michael Vick, a quarterback taken first overall in
the draft, has a total of 6 yards passing and 39.6 passer ratings. If
every attempt by a quarterback falls to the ground incomplete, his rating
is 39.6.
