Wii has passed another milestone: according to the UK's sales tracking
service Chart Track, it has achieved one million sales in Blighty faster than
any other video game system ever.
The millionth Wii was sold after 38 weeks on sale, compared to 49 weeks for
PlayStation 2 and 60 weeks for the Xbox 360.
The Telegraph reports that although the demand for Wii is "non-stop," the
system has recently become "easily available" -- more evidence that Nintendo
has ramped up production considerably. We'll see how long this lasts; Wii
demand will likely skyrocket this Christmas.
