A happy day with Master Yao

[flowerwheels (花花)]

I was very nervous this Tuesday, because I must run through the very
difficult 9th section of Da Hujia. When I went into Master's room, I
saw an ancient qin laid on the table silently, so I asked:"Is this an
ancient qin?" Master answered:"Yes. This is 'The Falling of the Plume
Flowers.(Mei Hua Laou)'"

This is just the treasure NTU missed. I've suggested NTU to buy this
qin, but our President rejected the whole project.

Master sudddenly determined not to teach me that time, but let me to
see,listen, even touch his collection. His most favorite is a qin made
in Sung dynasty:"Knocking the Jade(Xia Yuh)." Its' sound is big, thick
,round and deep, but it looked  slime and small.

Then, Master showed me a lot of old photos. He told me so many lively
story about his father, Chang Zhi Qien, Zha Fu Xi, Wu Jing Lueh...etc.
that would be "history" to me originally, but he really brought me into
the last golden age of qin. In those photos, I also saw the so young
Master Gong Yi with innocent smile; girlish Dai Xiou Liang learning
how to do "Da Pu" in front of Yao Bin Yiang. I thought no one of those
great Masters in last generation would know how the situation of qin
is today. Purity have lost forever.

I learned many technique in this 9th section. Master said that we share
something the same in many aspects. He told me that I can play very quick
and furiously(Huo-Chi),just like when he was young. He told me that young
men should play with Huo-Chi, otherwise one have nothing good to be extract
by the time. He also said that I'm clever, but he said I'm not as fortunate
as him, because he had so good an enviroment: those Masters went to his
home every week, so he learned early and naturaly.

When I leaved, it was already 18:00, but I went into Master's room at 13:30.
Master share so many things to me, even gave me a present, I also told him
some news or joke that made him burst into laugh. I thought our relationship
began to change in this day.
