Jeevika: Asia Livelihood Documentary Film Competition and Festival brings
together films on the issue of livelihood and showcases them to raise mass
awareness.
Jeevika 2009, the competition is open to all professional filmmakers and
students, who are citizens of any nations provided the documentary focuses on
the livelihood of the individuals & communities of the following Asian
nations: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan,
Sri Lanka, Brunei, Cambodia, East Timor, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar,
Philippines, Singapore, Thailand¸ Vietnam, People's Republic of China, Hong
Kong, Japan, Macau, Mongolia, North Korea, South Korea and Taiwan.
Jeevika started in 2003 with India focus, in 2005 it expanded to South Asia,
and in 2009 it has become an Asia Livelihood Documentary Competition and
Festival.
