Edith Hamilton's Mythology is a very useful book.
(1) You can read it and enjoy the stories.
(2) You can use it as a companion to the texts
we are going to read in the second semester
of this class.
In the list below, an ancient text is
paired with a chapter or some chapters
of Mythology. You can read them together
to acquire background information of a
tragedy or a story in an epic.
