Dear class,
Just an outline of what we will be doing next week: I've changed the syllabus
of our last class meeting in accordance with priority, so we will be reading
the poems listed under 9-1 first, then 9-2, and, time allowing, 9-3. I will
be reserving some time, as I explained today, to give a very, very brief
overview of Western literary history, so as to help you better choose among
the various course offerings in Literary periods that you will be taking
starting from your sophomore year. If you worry that you will not be able to
take notes quick enough, I have uploaded the timeline onto our "Content"
Webpage, so you may print it out for the next class if you like.
For those of you who forgot to submit their group evaluation to me today, you
can leave it in my mailbox when you pass by the department office this week,
or hand it in next Monday.
