Pharmacology/biochemistry laboratory is seeking for technician or postdoctoral fellow to study the interactions between DNA repair enzymes and anticancer/antiviral drugs. The research project emphasizes on understanding mechanisms of DNA repair, drug actions, and signal transduction. The ultimate goal is to develop new therapeutic compounds for anticancer/antiviral treatment. The project requires strong biochemical and cellular background as well as techniques in molecular cloning, immunoblotting, IP, mammalian tissue culture, enzymology, confocal microscopy. We will also collaborate with Cancer Research Institute at University of South Alabama to perform genomic studies.
