[dreampursuit (夢想奔馳)]

感謝星潔的提醒,雖然我沒能比對兩個版本課本的差異

不過看樣子新版的第四題好像是沒有數據的,題目似乎也不同

我把舊版第四題(及相關的第二題)的題目key在下面~請大家參考

請注意alpha, beta, estimate(就是頭上那頂帽子)是我用來代替原本符號的作法

另外一些用英文不大能表達的我會改用中文,請大家見諒

Ex.4

Just as you are about to estimate a regression (due tomorrow), massive sunspots

cause magnetic interference that ruins all electricity powered machines (e.g.,

computers). Instead of giving up and flunking, you decide to calculate estima-

tes from your data (on per capita income in thousands of US dollars as a funct-

ion of the percent of the labor force in agriculture in 10 developed countries)

using methods like those used in Section 2.1.3 without a computer. Your data

are:

a. Calculate the estimate of beta 0 and the estimate of beta 1.

b. Calculate  R平方及調整後的R平方(R bar 平方)

c. If the percentage of the labor force in agriculture in another developed

   country was 8 percent, what level of per capita income (in thousands of US

   dollars) would you guess that country had?


Ex. 2

To get more practice of summation notation, use the data in Exercise 4 on Inco-

me (Y) and Percent of the labor force on farms (X) to anser the following ques-

tions.

a. 計算X總和

b. 計算Y總和

c. 計算3X的總和,它和X總和的三倍相等嗎?

d. 計算X+Y的總合,它和X的總和+Y的總和相等嗎?
