第一屆亞太「傳染病訊息學暨生物偵測」國際研討會（BioSecure 2009）
今年（2009/09/23-2009/09/25）臺灣大學流行病學研究所與美國亞歷桑納大學在
台灣舉辦第一屆亞洲「傳染病訊息學暨生物偵測」國際研討會（BioSecure 2009），
此會議為國際電機電子工程師學會（Institute of Electrical and Electronics
Engineers, IEEE）所屬的兩個研究委員會委託舉辦（SMC,ITS）。今年適逢H1N1全球流
感病毒流行，本次大會主題特別以國際合作的觀點來討論全球疾病偵測的策略，所包含
的四大研討方向包含了：
1. 豬流感、人流感、禽流感在亞洲各國的防疫經驗；
2. 公共衛生資訊學的應用；
3. 新興的資訊監測工具；
4. 國際個案經驗交流。
期望透過研討會的交流讓熟悉資訊技術（IT）與實際參與公衛防疫實務的人才進行
交流，期能讓台灣扮演亞洲地區傳染病訊息學研究與生物偵測的領導角色，發揮地區影
響力，並為推動全球公共衛生防疫期能具有實質的貢獻。歡迎有興趣的師生報名參加，

Dr. Bao is currently Staff Scientist the National Center for Biotechnology
Information (NCBI) at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda,
Maryland, USA. One of his primary responsibilities is to manage the NCBI
Influenza Virus Resource for NCBI.
