今天下午在逛誠品的時候
發現了一本好書〈西雅圖的天空〉 How can you sell the air
Chief Seattle's vision
這本書的內容雖然之前就曾經聽說過
但是看到完整的原文這還是第一次 所以我毫不猶豫的就買回來了
內容真的很棒 先節錄一段我最有感覺也最多人聽過的跟大家分享
How can you buy and sell the sky,
the warmth of the land,
the swiftness of the antelope ?
How can we sell these things to you
and how can you buy them ?
Is the earth yours to do with as you will,
merely because the red man
signs a piece of paper
and gives it to the white man ?
If we do not own the freshnss of the air
and the sparkle of the water,
how can you buy them from us ?
Can you buy back the buffalo,
once the last one has died ?
