A joint Ph.D. research assistant position in the Department of Physics & Engineering Physics and the Department of Petroleum Engineering at the University of Tulsa is available immediately. The research project is about theoretical studies of solid oxide fuel cells with an emphasis on microscopic understanding of the pertinent materials and chemical reactions. Interested candidates with background in any relevant disciplines (such as Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Petroleum Engineering, Physics, Materials Sciences, and so on) are encouraged to apply. Minorities and female candidates are especially encouraged to apply. Review of applications will begin immediately. The student will pursue a Ph.D. degree in Petroleum Engineering, and will be co-supervised by faculty in Physics (Prof. Sanwu Wang) and in Petroleum Engineering (Prof. Jagan Mahadevan).
