[情報] 有個老外要來演講

[nonverbal (老衲來替你超度)]

這是課活組跟我講的，事實上我狀況外...

然後這老外寫了封e-mail給我，內容如下:

ear Mr. Yei,

My name is Rob Fawcett and I am a cyclist from Canada . From June 2002 to
2005, I taught and lived in Taiwan . Last June, I flew from Taiwan to
Vancouver , Canada , where I began an around-the-world cycling tour. After
15,000km, 20 countries and 9 months, I made my way back to Taiwan .

In my time living in Gangshan, I did many short tours, most often in
southern Taiwan, but also included a 20 hour non-stop ride from Taipei to
Ganshan and a 5-day tour from Taipei down the east coast.  Without fail, on
each ride, I found the people of Taiwan to be exceptionally supporting and
helpful. Countless times cars and scooters would slow down and pass me water
bottles, bananas and chocolates, etc. or just offer cheers of encouragement,
"Jia Yo! Jia Yo!  I hope to be able to give back some of the inspiration I
received from them.

I have just returned to Taiwan after visiting friends and family in Canada.
 I will soon be embarking on another cycle tour of Asia, this time beginning
in Taiwan and ending in China . During my first month in Taiwan , I would
like to tour around the island, stopping to give presentations at local high
schools, universities and business organizations in order to share with them
some of the experiences I've had while on my around-the-world trip. I hope to
be an example for people to follow their own dreams, whatever they may be; to
nurture their own sense of adventure and discovery. I would also like to
encourage them to get out and appreciate the great natural beauty that exists
around them.  The goal of my presentations is to use pictures and videos to
encourage a fun and interactive exchange with the participants.

Giant Bicycles and Atunas, both international renowned Taiwanese companies
have graciously agreed to sponsor this tour. I will be touring from November.
8 to December. 1, 2006, and, if possible, would like to present at your
organizations during this time.

當然我還是搞不懂要幹嘛，不過有人有興趣的嗎？

對方也可以說是同好，至少也是個長途旅行者...

反正這個人他11/8~10會來就是了...也許會辦演講什麼的。
