在研究所階段，英文科技論文寫作與投稿，扮演非常重要的角色
，良好的論文寫作與投稿技巧，可以更容易的將辛苦研究出來的成果
，發表於國際期刊上。
為了讓同學們對於論文寫作與投稿有更深入的了解，IEEE台大學
生分會將於 5月11日舉辦演講活動，我們特別邀請了系上的劉華光教
授為我們演講，題目是“英文科技論文寫作與投稿”，劉老師對於論
文寫作與投稿有很豐富的經驗及很深入的見解，相信聽完這場演講，
同學們一定會有很豐富的收穫，歡迎同學們擁躍參加。
Abstract
Technical journal publication is a gateway toward academic
excellence and is essential for the University to become a
world class leader in higher education. The written
communication represented by journal publication is a key
to one’s career success. This talk will discuss the basic
skills of English manuscript preparation for technical
journal publication. A recent example will be provided for
the illustration of publishing a paper in an archival
technical journal.
The Speaker
Dr. Hua-Kuang Liu received his BSEE from NTU in 1963, MSEE
from University of Iowa in 1965, and Ph. D. in EE from the
Johns Hopkins University in 1969. He served as a Visiting
Professor in the EE Department of NTU in 1981 and came back
to teach again in 2002 after his retirement from Caltech and
University of Alabama System. Dr. Liu has published over 200
papers and 28 US patents. He has been honored as a Fellow of
the Optical Society of America and SPIE-The International
Optical Engineering Society. In 1987, Dr. Liu helped founding
the Photonic Society of Chinese-Americans and served as her
first president and chair of the board of directors.
