Dear All:
Welcome to the M&A course. The course is
designed to facilitate your business intuition and
business logic rather than technical skills. As such,
we will have case week. The protocol is the
following:
1. We will have a short meeting on Wednesday
afteroon around 1 pm.I will hand out the two cases to
be discussed on Thursday morning from 9-12. You are
not allowed to read the cases before NOON the day
previous to the disucssion day.
2. I will divide you into case study groups by
mixing under and graduate students.
3. You need to hand in a "ONE PAGE" write up, only
one page for EACH case to represent each group's
decision rationale. In other words, you have squeez
your thoughts about the case in one page. Of course,
your writings have to be concise, precise, and elegant
(but not Wen-Yen-Wen).
4. You are "required" to participate in case
discussion each day as your class participation will
account for 25% of your final grade. If you miss a
class, you will be deducted 5% from your final grade.
We will repeat this procedure for a week, except
that we need to find a time on Monday to finish our
case week. The whole idea behind this case week is to
give you an idea of what kind of life being an MBA
student in a case oriented school as a complement to
your study at our MBA/Undergraduate program.
As we have had already 70 students register for
this course and there are 10 to 15 are not accounted
for and cannot send mails to. If you know anyone who
has not registered with "estee.ms86@nctu.edu.tw" or
"wolalababy@yahoo.com.tw", please tell them to do so
as quickly as possible.
