當紐約港的自由火炬 While the torch at New York Harbor
燃起了憤怒狂暴的火焰 Burns with rage and anger
我們要靜靜的聚集 We are here together around
用疼痛的肢體 Dancing with our distressed limbs
舞出我們的失望和悲傷 Our sorrows and our despair
當費城的自由之鐘成為喪鐘 While the ring of the Philadelphia bell
我們終於瞭解那道裂痕 Becomes the call of death, we know
早已預言一道難以癒合的傷口 The split that was already foretold
而我們要靜靜的禱告 And we would just like to pray
用哽咽的詩歌 With the praise that mourns
填補失傳的音符 With the song that fills
當暴力軍團駛向東方 When the corps drive to the orient with violence
包裝著民主與和平的使命 wraped with the mission of democracy and peace
卻覬覦著油田與政權 Greed for the arms and the oil feilds is indeed
我們要靜靜地聚集 So We are here gathering around
用堅定的眼神 With eyes that are pure and tranquil
注目著純潔善良的想望 With the gazes firm and still
讓我們點起燭光 Let's light the candles, passing the message
傳遞一個再簡單也不過的訊息 Which is no more than a trivial thing
不過是希望每個人都能溫飽 Which is no more than being well feeded
每個人都能愛人、被愛 With everyone loving and being loved
每個人都能歡笑、期待 With everyone expecting and being merry
讓我們點起燭光 Let's light the candles
讓憐憫的微光映照著愛河 With the twilight of compassion that reflects
讓憂傷的愛河留入海洋 The Love River, and let the weaping river flow
讓太平的海洋呼喚著生命 Into the sea, and let the peaceful sea roar
讓和平的夢想不再只是願望 For the life. Let the dream of life being
Not only a cloud castle
Let's light the candles
