My dear friends,
Last Friday was our first regular meeting. There were five excellent
speakers and I believed that most of you had enjoyed a wonderful evening
with us! Our former PRVP Ken Wang told us the story about his volunteer work
in Vietnam and reminded us to treasure what we have now. The best speaker of
that evening, Elaine Hu shared her personal interesting experience about her
weak sight. Bruce Huang introduced his favorite old song singers to let us
experience the different kinds of good songs. Kyle Huang taught us the tips to
survive in our workplaces. Christine Chai used the PowerPoint to teach us the
probability in our daily lives.
This week we'll have our New Members Marathon! 15 new members will
deliver their C1 speeches! It will be held on 10/9(Fri.) in the Classroom 704
(7F), 2nd Student Activity Center, NTU. And I want to remind you that this
Friday (10/9) is also the deadline of joining us. That is, you have to pay
full amount of your member fee to get membership before 10/09. For those who
paid the $500 of deposit, please remember to pay the rest before the
deadline. Therefore, if you want to join us, make sure you will join the
meeting this Friday!
