1. somniloquist 說夢話的人

-->sleep talker / someone who talks while sleep

Ex: Amy married a somniloquist and never lacked for nighttime conversation.

*somnolent 昏昏欲睡的;催眠的
 -->tired and ready to fall asleep;causing a person to fall asleep:very boring

*soporific -->sleep-inducing

Ex: somnolent travelers
    a somnolent little village
    a somnolent lecture

Ex: The soporific play cause many audience members to run for coffee
    during intermission.

Ex: The somnolent lecture caused many students to run for coffee
    during intermission.

2. hypnopompic 半醒
 -->prewaking

   hypnagogic 半睡(夢)
 -->relating to the state immediately before falling asleep

Ex: After watching the whole night Sharp Wife, the students floated into
    class the next morning in a hypnopompic state.

3. pandiculation 伸懶腰 (=stretching)
   yawn 打哈欠

Ex: Paris' lengthy yawn and pandiculation give his TM members the hints to
    call it a night.

4. bruxism 磨牙 (=teeth grinding)

   snore 打鼾、打呼 -->breathe noisily through your noise and mouch

Ex: Stanley's nightlong bruxism sounded like a chain saw.

5. languish 憔悴的 -->lose vitality

Ex: After a long day at the office, Ichi languished on the sofa and

    fell asleep.

6. davenport 沙發床
   boudoir (女性的)閨房 /'bud'war/


Pronunciation

1. refuse & refuge

2. the sound of consonant /l/

Ex: class, glass, grass


Usage

1. come back to my topic --> Let's cut the cheese

2. hesitate (v.)猶豫

Ex:Don't be hesitate! --> Don't hesitate!

3. Although...but....

*we cannnot use two conjunctions in a sentence. You may choose either although

 or but

4. Everywhere is your best place to study

-->Where is the best place for studying? Everywhere!

5. We study for study.

-->We study for the sake of studying

6.I don't limit study place for a specific one.

*which means ubiquitous learning (study everywhere)

7. care for = take care of = look after

Ex: Jush really wants to care for Amy.
  = Jush really wants to take care of Amy.
  = Jush really wants to look after Amy.

Good sentences

1. Why do senior members stay in Toastmasters still?
   They need to learn, want to learn, and continue to learn.

2. It's time to taste the fruit of achievement.

My Feedback

1. speak slow but clear

--> train your basic skills
   (speaking very fast doesn't mean you have a good English proficiency)

2. record your speech; watch your video on youtube website

--> The best way to improve your articulation (enunciation) is listen to your

    speech very carefully.

3. Dare to make mistake in NTU Toastmasters Club
   Everyone has his or her starting point.
   Be proud of yourself and make yourself more confident.
   Just tell yourself, "If I cannot do it well, nobody can!"
