※ 引述《radames (amber)》之銘言:
: 今天觀賞的演唱會
: Peters所唱的倒數第二首歌 我覺得有點耳熟
: 似乎是I'll Be Seeing You

BERNADETTE PETERS IN CONCERT begins with the Depression-era anthem "We're
in the Money" - with a chorus in Pig Latin! - alternating with "Pennies
From Heaven." After some prancing and preening for her ecstatic audience,
she sings "Broadway Baby," from Sondheim's Follies, before changing the
pace with a touching rendition of "No One Is Alone" from his Into the Woods.
Lying seductively on the piano, she purrs "Sooner or Later" from the movie
Dick Tracy. The segment concludes with the romantic "Unexpected Song" from
Andrew Lloyd Webber's Song and Dance.
In the second act, Peters delivers a heartfelt version of John David
Souther's country-rock ballad "Faithless Love," accompanied solely by
piano. For the Dames at Sea selection, "Raining in My Heart" - sung only
slightly tongue-in-cheek - she and her back-up boys don raincoats and
twirl umbrellas. The final selection, "Some People" from Gypsy, earns her
another rousing ovation from the standing-room-only audience.
After intermission, Peters reappears on stage in a different gown and with
her trademark mane swept up. Dedicating this segment of the program to
"the genius of Stephen Sondheim," she performs "Johanna," "Hello Little
Girl," "Any Moment" and "Later," the last with cello accompaniment.
A spirited version of "You Could Drive a Person Crazy" leads to an
affecting "Not a Day Goes By." Her matchless rendition of "Being Alive"
brings down the house.
In the final act of BERNADETTE PETERS IN CONCERT, Peters offers the
audience a selection of favorite songs: "With So Little to Be Sure Of,"
"Children Will Listen" and "Move On." She dedicates the final group of
songs, old favorites "I'll Be Seeing You," "My Romance" and "The Way You
Look Tonight," to an appreciative audience.
