看板 NY-Mets 關於我們 聯絡資訊
By DAN GRAZIANO Star-Ledger Staff Sometimes, around this time of year, GMs start posturing. They say they're happy with what they have, and that they don't need to make a trade. This is an important part of negotiating -- letting the other team know you don't NEED to make the deal. It helps get the price down. So that's probably what Mets GM Omar Minaya was doing last night, when he was talking about his own pitching situation. "I feel comfortable with it," Minaya said. "Our young guys have stepped up. John Maine's done a good job, Mike Pelfrey's done a good job. So with Pedro coming back, and Bannister coming back right around the trade deadline, I think we're OK. If we have to go the whole year with our guys, I think we should be OK." Of course, later, Minaya said this: "I'm a proactive guy," and this: "I'll be honest. I think we have to upgrade pitching." Expect Minaya to get at least one pitcher by next Monday. -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 61.228.182.53
