ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - Joba Chamberlain is expected to miss at least the
two-game series against the Red Sox that begins tonight at Yankee Stadium as
he continues to care for his ailing father in Lincoln, Neb.
今晚在主場開的兩場基襪系列戰，喬巴大概都不會上場了---因為他要繼續待在林肯市照
顧身體微恙的張爸。

"He can take as long as he needs to take," manager Joe Girardi said before
the Yankees faced the Rays last night. "Nothing more important."
昨晚，Girardi在對光芒隊賽前說:"他想請多久假都好，人之行莫大於孝。"

Harlan Chamberlain, 56, is in St. Elizabeth Regional Medical Center after
collapsing at his home Sunday. At the request of the family, the hospital is
not releasing any information about Chamberlain's condition or the nature of
his illness other than to report Monday that he was in critical but stable
condition.
從禮拜天在家裡病倒後，56歲的張爸就一直住在聖伊莉莎白地方醫療中心。在張伯倫家要
求下，院方對張爸的狀況和病情三緘其口。只說他病得不輕，但病情還算穩定。

Girardi, who talked to Joba Chamberlain yesterday, said: "His father is a
little better. There are still more tests that have to be done. Joba is by
his side and we're just praying that he gets better quickly."
昨天和喬巴聊過後，Girardi說:張爸好點了，不過他還得做些檢查。喬巴目前在旁服侍湯
藥，我們也希望張爸快點好起來。

Girardi said Joba Chamberlain "wants to be here. [But] he understands what he
needs to do as a son. Joba's very mature."
Girardi說喬巴很想回來，不過他也了解為人子之道。"喬巴真是相當懂事。"

Harlan Chamberlain has had a host of health problems in recent years. He
contracted polio as a child and rides in a motorized scooter.
張爸這幾年身體一直都不好，從小就患有小兒麻痺，得一直坐電動輪椅。
