1. CC參觀了新洋基球場

Is there a big man in the house? （連結中有照片）

The Yankees sent these photos out this evening. They show a happy (and trim)
CC Sabathia getting his first look at Yankee Stadium.

Meanwhile Brian Cashman has yet to actually acknowledge the Yankees signed
Sabathia. But I think this pretty much confirms it, don’t you?

Jorge Posada today threw a baseball 60 feet 75 times, his first time
throwing at that distance since July 30 surgery on his right shoulder.

The Yankees said Posada made three sets of 25 throws in Tampa, Fla.,
and "reported that he felt good." Posada has insisted he will be ready
for spring training and to catch Opening Day.

Posada was limited to 28 starts at catcher this year because of the injury,
which included damage to his labrum and fraying in his rotator cuff.

Chamberlain's DUI arraignment delayed

LINCOLN, Neb. --

New York Yankees pitcher Joba Chamberlain's arraignment on drunken-driving
charges has been delayed until next month.

The 23-year-old former Nebraska standout was to appear in court Wednesday,
but his attorney asked that the arraignment be postponed until Jan. 26.

Chamberlain is charged with first-offense drunken driving and having an
open alcohol container. He was pulled over Oct. 18 by the Nebraska State
Patrol on the outskirts of Lincoln.

Authorities say his blood-alcohol level was 0.134 percent; the legal limit
in Nebraska is 0.08 percent.

Yankees’ Chamberlain Has Had Off-Season of Life Lessons

Joba Chamberlain called this off-season the “best” and “most gratifying”
of his life, and not because the Yankees have eased his transition to
full-time starter by adding C. C. Sabathia and A. J. Burnett. Chamberlain,
arrested in Nebraska two months ago on charges of driving under the
influence, said he planned to make amends by speaking with young people
about the dangers of driving drunk.

“It’s all part of the growing experience,” Chamberlain said Tuesday
night before he was to accept the athlete of the year award from the
Police Athletic League at its annual dinner in Manhattan. “As a 23-year-old
man, I’m still trying to grow up. We all make mistakes, and that’s part of
being human. Part of being human is admitting mistakes and not trying to
hide from it, not trying to run from it.”

With Chamberlain planning to begin his first full season as a starter,
the Yankees have four-fifths of a daunting rotation in place. They are
still waiting on the final piece and would like it to be Andy Pettitte,
who shares the same representation, Randy and Alan Hendricks, as
Chamberlain.

Aside from exchanging holiday wishes, Chamberlain said he had not spoken
much to Pettitte and did not know whether he was interested in coming back.

Chamberlain also said that he had not been asked to pitch for the United
States at the coming World Baseball Classic but that he would cherish the
opportunity. It is doubtful that the Yankees, who in 2006 allowed only the
retiring Al Leiter to pitch, would let him compete.

“As an American, to represent your country on your chest is something that
you’d love to do,” Chamberlain said. “And if that opportunity comes,
I’d love to do it.”
