  Update (11:03pm): Unconfirmed, but apparently Kennedy left the game with a

  blister. No biggie.


  Triple-A Scranton (7-3 win over Rochester) beat an old friend for the second

  time in two weeks


  Doug Bernier, Eric Duncan & Chris Stewart: all 0 for 4 - Bernier drew a walk

  &K’ed … E-Dunc drew a walk & K’ed four times (there’s the Eric Duncan we

  all know and love) … Stewart drove in a run

  John Rodriguez & Shelley Duncan: both 3 for 4, 1 HR, 1 K - J-Rod’s was a solo

  shot … Shelley drove in 2, scored a pair of runs & committed a throwing error

  … he leads the International League with 6 homers

  Todd Linden: 1 for 4, 1 R, 1 BB

  Juan Miranda: 1 for 5, 1 R, 1 HR, 2 RBI, 2 K

  Austin Jackson: 1 for 5, 2 R, 1 2B, 1 SB - hitting .340 in 53 at-bats … but

  with 15 K

  Luis Nunez: 3 for 4, 1 BB

  Ian Kennedy: 4.2 IP, 7 H, 1 R, 0 ER, 2 BB, 4 K, 6-3 GB/FB - 50 of 82 pitches

  were strikes (61.0%) … picked a runner off first … left the game with an

  unknown injury after walking a batter in the fifth … I’ll update this post

  if I find out what’s up, but it could just be a precautionary thing

  Zach Kroenke: 2.1 IP, zeroes, 3 K, 3-1 GB/FB - 20 of 25 pitches were strikes

  (80.0%) … now that is some damn fine relief work

  Anthony Claggett: 2 IP, 5 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 0 BB, 1 K, 2-2 GB/FB - 19 of 30

  pitches were strikes (63.3%)


  Double-A Trenton had a scheduled off day.


  High-A Tampa (6-0 win over Lakeland)


  Austin Krum: 3 for 4, 2 R, 1 BB, 1 K, 1CS

  Eric Fryer: 0 for 5, 1 R, 1 K - 2 for his last 15 (.133) 

  Jesus Montero: 2 for 4, 1 2B, 1 RBI, 1 K

  Brandon Laird, Damon Sublett & Addison Maruszack: all 0 for 4 - Laird drove in

  a run & K’ed … Sublett scored a run & K’ed twice … Maruszack K’ed, was

  caught stealing & committed a fielding error

  Austin Romine: 1 for 3 - ejected for arguing a call at third

  Matt Cusick: 2 for 4, 1 R, 2 2B, 1 RBI

  Jeremy Bleich: 6 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 6 K, 4-8 GB/FB - now that looks

  like the kind of line you want to see from a first rounder

  Adam Olbrychowski: 2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 3 K, 2-1 GB/FB - season debut

  after starting the year on the DL … I hope the move to the pen is permanent,

  ’s a one pitch guy but luckily that one pitch (fastball) is exceptional

  Jon Hovis: 1 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 0 K, 3-0 GB/FB


  Low-A Charleston (6-1 win over Savannah)


  Carmen Angelini: 0 for 3, 1 R, 1 BB, 1 E (fielding)

  Ray Kruml & Garrison Lassiter: both 1 for 3, 1 BB - Kruml swiped two bases &

  scored a pair of runs

  David Adams: 2 for 3, 1 R, 1 2B, 2 RBI, 1 BB, 1 K, 1 SB

  Brian Baisley: 1 for 2, 1 2B, 1 RBI, 1 BB

  Abe Almonte & Melky Mesa: both 0 for 4 - Melky K’ed

  Taylor Grote: 1 for 4, 1 R, 1 K

  Chase Weems: 2 for 3, 1 R, 1 3B, 1 RBI

  Manny Banuelos: 4 IP, 5 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 2 BB, 4 K, 1 Balk, 5-3 GB/FB - third

  time in four starts that he hasn’t made it into the fifth, although he’s

  probably on a strict pitch count

  Dan Kapala: 2 IP, zeroes, 1 K, 3-1 GB/FB

  Everyday Arbiso: 2 IP, zeroes, 2 K, 0-4 GB/FB - I dunno why, but it seems like

  he pitches every day

  Casey Erickson: 1 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 2 K, 1-0 GB/FB
