洋基簽了蠻會嘴砲的Josh Tower去補3A的先發名單, 不知道如果被叫上來會不會先和
Tony Pena先幹一架。
事件回顧:
2007年5月30日A-Rod以著名的"HA!"獅子吼幫球隊贏球後, 8月6日洋基作客藍鳥球場,
第一場比賽Litsch先用一個低角度的速球要教訓A-Rod, 結果沒丟中。8月7日Josh Tower
先發便再報復一次這回真的丟中了, 當A-Rod被觸身上一壘後, 一壘指導教練Tony Pena便
跟Tower說, 有種的話"就想辦法讓打者出局"(搞這種觸身球真沒料, 卻解決不了打者),
讓Tower不爽到反擊說，Pena是個在皇家隊管不好球隊落跑的總教練。
9月11日洋基再度作客藍鳥隊, 藍鳥隊便將這件事開玩笑的作成影片在球場撥放, 影片中
兩位藍鳥隊的球迷正在打一場棒球比賽的電腦遊戲, 球賽中他們對著A-Rod投球。球是對
著A-Rod身上丟，一次沒丟中，另外一次則打在A-Rod身上，這讓Torre感到非常不爽。

Towers added to Scranton/Wilkes-Barre roster
I'm sort of off tonight, but thanks to good friend and co-worker Donnie
Collins for the heads up...
Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees play-by-play man Mike Vander Woude is reporting
that the Yankees have signed Josh Towers (right) to a minor league deal and
assigned him to Triple-A. I have to assume he'll help fill one of the latest
rotation openings.
You probably remember Towers from his time with the Blue Jays, though he came
up with the Orioles. He's 32 years old and has 45 major league wins -- 13 of
them in 2005 -- with a 4.95 big league ERA. He was with Syracuse at the start
of the season, made one appearance on April 10, went on the disabled list on
April 12, came off the disabled list and was released on Tuesday and now it
sounds like he's with the Yankees.
What I remember of Towers, at least in this league, is that he was a pretty
good pitcher. I liked him, anyway. Casey Fossum's a nice pitcher too, but I
don't think anyone could have predicted that the Yankees would have to dip
into the free agent pool for minor league pitching twice before the second
week of May.

You know that saying, you can never have too much pitching? This is why it
became a cliche.
