NEW YORK -- Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter left Wednesday's game against the
Blue Jays after two innings with a right foot contusion, and X-rays were
negative.
Batting in the first inning, Jeter was hit on the right foot by an errant
breaking ball thrown by Jays starter Ricky Romero. The Yankees' captain
hopped around home plate in pain and spoke with manager Joe Girardi and his
training staff for several moments before taking his base.
Jeter played the field in the second and hit into a fielder's choice to end
the bottom of the inning, but he did not return to the field for the third.
Ramiro Pena took Jeter's place at shortstop.
Derek Jeter 在今天的比賽中因右腳挫傷提前離場，X光檢驗結果為陰性。
Jeter 於第一局被失投的變化球擊中腳，但還是忍痛繼續留在場上，不過
第二局打出滾地球跑壘時就感覺不太好了，因而提前離場。
Ramiro Pena 接替游擊區守備。
