這陣子連被痛擊兩次的左手肘還是不太舒服，還有背也是一樣。A-Rod 表示他的手
肘狀況普普通通，但他不是太擔心。
他最近可能會需要經常跟 Joe Girardi 討論他的健康狀況以決定他是不是需要休
息..
OAKLAND, Calif. — Alex Rodriguez is still plenty sore from being hit in the
left elbow by a pitch for the second time in a week. He's also playing
through back pain. A-Rod was plunked by Oakland starter Vin Mazzaro in the
first inning of Tuesday night's 7-2 win over the Athletics, but was in the
lineup at third base and batting cleanup for the series finale. He said the
elbow was "so-so."
"I'm not really concerned," Rodriguez said Wednesday. "I'm kind of just
dealing with a little bit of the back and elbow."
He figures he will regularly communicate with manager Joe Girardi about his
health to determine whether he needs a break. The Yankees have a much-needed
day off Thursday following a stretch with 33 games in 34 days.
Rodriguez was also hit by Toronto's Shawn Camp in the 11th inning a 4-3,
11-inning win in New York on Aug. 12. He sat out Friday and Saturday at
Seattle while getting treatment and giving his body a chance to heal.
He missed 28 games while on the disabled list from April 4 to May 8 after
undergoing arthroscopic hip surgery during spring training to repair his
labrum, remove an impingement in the joint and drain a cyst in the hip.
"This year, I'm just going day by day," he said of how his body feels.
A-Rod was batting 3 for 11 with no home runs and one RBI in four games so far
during the team's 10-game road trip. He's also drawn five walks and insists
that shows he's still seeing pitches and "being in the mix" to help the
first-place Yankees. They will certainly need his production heading into a
weekend series at Fenway Park against the archrival Boston Red Sox.
"I'm certainly not pressing," Rodriguez said. "I've been dealing with what
I've been dealing with physically and doing the best I can."
