這是延續昨天的那篇 先補一下昨天的內容: - Yankees reliever Joba Chamberlain may return to the bullpen -- at least for one series. If the Yankees lock up the top seed in the American League, they will have their choice of schedules for the AL Division Series. One schedule gives teams an off day between Games 1 and 2 while the other does not. With an off day after game one, the Yankees would need only three starting pitchers to get through the series. Without the off day, the Yankees would need four. "There are two different division series where one you would need three starters and one where you'd need four," Girardi said. "I'll just leave it at that." http://www.nj.com/yankees/index.ssf/2009/09/ny_yankees_notes_reliever_davi.html 今天的報導如下: Chances of NY Yankees pitcher Joba Chamberlain heading back to bullpen for ALDS: 97.1 percent by Marc Carig/The Star-Ledger Wednesday September 09, 2009, 12:18 PM NEW YORK --The Yankees (90-50) have a 97.1 percent of winning home field advantage throughout the playoffs, this according to the projections by the good folks at coolstandings.com, who were kind enough to share with us the numbers even though they're not published on their site (which, by the way, you should check out). The Angels (82-55), who are 6 1/2 games behind the Yankees for the league's best record, stand at 2.1 percent. The Red Sox have a 0.8 percent chance while the Tigers and Rangers have less than a 0.1 percent change (so you're saying there's chance?) And just for the record, in the NL, the list is as follows: Dodgers: 52.7% Cardinals: 29.5% Phillies: 13.0% Rockies: 4.4% Giants: 0.3% Braves, Cubs, Marlins: <0.1% each So, why does this matter for the Yankees? The top seed gets their choice of two possible schedules (check them out here at mlb.com) for the AL Division Series. Option A would give the Yankees a day off after Game 1, which means they would need only three starters. Option B, meanwhile, would have the teams play both Game 1 and 2 on back-to-back days before an off day for travel, meaning the Yankees would need four starters. In other words, the Yankees will have the choice of putting Joba Chamberlain, who stars Wednesday against the Rays, in the bullpen during the opening round. "I'm not even thinking about it," Chamberlain said. "We've got to get through this year and finish strong. I guess I'll be asked that question again in October." Meanwhile, Yankees manager Joe Girardi remained vague in his thoughts: "There are two different division series where one you would need three starters and one where you'd need four. I'll just leave it at that." But ultimately, it would make sense for the Yankees to opt for the extra off day and send their three best pitchers, CC Sabathia, Andy Pettitte and A.J. Burnett to pitch in a short series. And so it appears -- with 97.1 percent certainty -- that the Joba to the Bullpen crew will finally get their wish. For one series, anyway. http://www.nj.com/yankees/index.ssf/2009/09/chances_of_ny_yankees_pitcher.html -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 140.109.23.38
