[閒聊] Scoring position? What's scoring position?

The Yankees won both games against the Twins on Wednesday without the

benefit of a single hit with runners in scoring position, going 0-for-5

and 0-for-9 with RISP in the two games.



“That’s a situation that’s been a little tough on us lately,” Joe

Girardi said. “Guys found a way to get it done. When you’re not scoring

 runs, you can still win games if you have pitching.”



Andy Pettitte, who threw eight innings of two-run ball for the win in the

night game, said the team's recent slide - and its two-win day on

 Wednesday - was simply a case of the starting pitching setting the tone.



"It’s the same old story; we haven’t been pitching well," Pettitte said.

 "When you don’t pitch well, it makes things look awfully bad. We got off

 to such a great start, pitching well and everybody throwing the ball well,

but I know I was bad, A.J. had a rough one, CC had a rough one, so it makes

 you feel bad. It’s nice to get it going again."
