http://0rz.tw/FyKw8 Mariano Rivera said this afternoon that his blood clot had cleared up and surgery on his injured right knee had been scheduled for June 12. The procedure will be performed by the Mets' team physican, Dr. David Altchek of the Hospital for Special Surgery. Rivera expects he will be able to pitch again in 2013. He won’t even think about pitching this season, which, he admits, would require nothing short of a miracle. “I can’t. I don’t want to think about it,” Rivera said. “Miracles happen. But I just have to be able to do what I need to do first..” Rivera tore his ACL on May 3 while shagging fly balls in Kansas City. Surgery was delayed when the 42-year old developed a blood clot in his right calf. It was treated with medication, and Rivera has been attending rehab to strengthen his knee for surgery. -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 140.112.125.33
