Brian Cashman on Pettitte: "He is fine - will see him in September - ebb and
flow of rehab."
Marc Carig 的綜合報導
Yankees left-hander Andy Pettitte has hit a potential snag in his rehab from
a broken left ankle. The veteran left-hander has felt “twinges” in his
ankle that the team intends to monitor, pitching coach Larry Rothschild said.
However, barring any other setbacks, Rothschild said it’s possible that the
40-year-old returns to the rotation by early September, his originally
planned return date.
“It’s still feasible,” Rothschild said.
According to several published reports, Pettitte’s ankle hasn’t healed as
quickly as expected, prompting the team to cut down on his workload during
the team’s West Coast road trip last week.
The left-hander had progressed to playing catch on the field before games.
Yankees general manager Brian Cashman said Pettitte is still scheduled to
return in September.
“He is fine — ebb and flow of rehab,” Cashman said in a text message.
