A little bit more on the Sabathia injury: “We’ve been talking about it all
day, just trying to decide what we were going to do,” Girardi said. “It’s
not any worse than it was after the first start, but our concern is it didn’
t go away. As far as concern, it’s pretty low. We were deciding should we
just skip him a start, should we DL him? What do we do in this instance? We’
ve decided that we’re going to DL him. We’ll have to name a starter on
Monday; I don’t have that right now. We’ll have to decide what we’re going
to do. As far as the concern, it’s pretty low-level, because it’s not like
it got any worse. He wants to pitch on Monday, which I’m not surprised,
because he said he’s dealt with it before. We just decided, let’s try to
get it cleaned up now.”
Girardi said he’s not sure how many pitches David Phelps can throw at
this point. His last minor league start came on July 14 when he threw 103
pitches. Phelps hasn’t thrown more than 36 pitches since then.
1.球團考慮了一陣子，決定要不要跳過下次先發或是把CC放入傷兵名單。打從CC手肘開始
有酸酸的感覺之後，雖然沒有惡化的情況，不過這感覺一直沒有緩解。最終球團還是決定
把他放到15天傷兵名單中。 目前看起來CC手肘酸痛的問題不是很嚴重，算是蠻輕微的。
CC本人甚至想要禮拜一就正常先發，他說以前也有過類似的感覺，不過球團還是保險起見
2.Girardi不確定會讓Phelps投幾球，上次出賽是在7/14，丟了103球，之後每場出賽
就沒投超過36球了。
