去年Mahut 和Isner合力貢獻了三天的破天荒馬拉松大賽，
至今仍讓大家津津樂道，
最近Mahut 接收的一個採訪，是這樣提到豆豆的簡訊如何讓他感到窩心：

問：You should have received a lot of messages after the match.
    Do you ever read it to some?
答：I tried to keep up messages, but the memory of my phone was not
    sufficient. I tried to answer all the world, it took me quite
    some time. For ??several days, I got fifty messages daily. There
    were people in my family telling me how much they loved me, those
    of the sports minister that showed some form of recognition.
    [But the one I kept the longest is that of Rafael Nadal. The
    evening of the match, he told me I was one example, a model.
    Coming from someone that I consider just as a model, it really
    touched me].

 記得豆豆曾經提過，他想要的，是贏的比賽，而不是打敗對手，
 或許有人覺得他只是在講漂亮話，而且最後結果還不是一樣，
 但一路看豆豆的賽訪跟採訪下來，
 深深感受到他對運動樹立榜樣給孩子這觀念，
 是不斷重複跟記者強調並且努力透過一場又一場的比賽落實，
 所以去年溫網那場68：70的馬拉松比賽，
 最後Mahut雖然輸了，卻贏的大家的尊重和紀念
