Something to watch in the negotiations for the new collective-bargaining
agreement: It's possible that teams will no longer receive draft picks as
compensation for free agents who leave. That means that the Nationals, who
opted to keep Alfonso Soriano, could wind up with absolutely nothing if
Soriano signs with another club.
最新版的勞資協議傳出打算取消 FA 補償選秀權。
2002年 上一次勞資協議時就曾提出這個議題，所以費城人在確定無法留下
Scott Rolen 之後，在7月底交易截止日前將他送到 St.Louis，趕在 CBA
確定前作出交易。現在 Bowden 的如意算盤遇到麻煩，如果無法獲得補償
選秀權，Nationals 勢必得去考慮留下 Soriano 的可能性。
