WASHINGTON (TICKER) —The Washington Nationals agreed to terms with lefthander
Odalis Perez on a minor league contract on Thursday.
Perez went 7-12 with a 4.34 ERA in 30 starts with the Nationals last season,
his first with the team. He had 119 strikeouts in 159 2/3 innings.
The 10-year veteran was Washington’s Opening Day starter last year.
For his career, the 31-year-old Perez is 73-82 with a 4.46 ERA in 252 games
with the Atlanta Braves, Los Angeles Dodgers, Kansas City Royals and Nationals.
