Netherlands international Arnold Bruggink has agreed a two-year contract
with RCD Mallorca.
Title win
The 26-year-old forward, who has won two international caps, leaves
Dutch champions PSV Eindhoven to move to Spain. PSV claimed last season's
Eredivisie title by a single point from AFC Ajax.
Impressive scoring ratio
Bruggink joined PSV from FC Twente - for whom he scored 34 goals in 98
games - before the 1997/98 season, and went on to make 152 appearances
for the Eindhoven club, scoring 59 goals in the process. However, he
made only 12 starts and ten substitute appearances last season, but
still scored nine goals.
Cup glory
Mallorca will enter next season's UEFA Cup at the first round stage
having qualified by claiming the Copa del Rey in June with a 3-0
victory against RC Recreativo de Huelva in the final.
