Roda JC have signed striker Aruna Kone from Belgian First Division
side K. Lierse SK.
Soetaers replacement
The 19-year-old forward, who has signed a three-year contract with an
option for a further two seasons with the Eredivisie team, replaces
Tom Soetaers, who moved to AFC Ajax on Thursday. The transfer fee Kone
paid to Lierse was not released.
Instant impact
The Ivorian forward moved to Belgium in summer 2002 from Rio D'Anyama
in his homeland and made a big impression in his first season, scoring
eleven goals in 32 matches for Lierse and recording nine assists.
