Kluivert: I Don't Want To Leave Barca

10/21/2003. Barcelona striker Patrick Kluivert has said that he does
not want to leave the club, but hinted that he may be forced out by
the fans.


"I don't want to leave, but at this moment I'm suffering on the pitch
and if things don't chance and people don't stop whistling at me, it
is not normal for me to stay," he said.


"The behaviour of the fans will be decisive. If they whistle at me it
means that they don't like me and then I'll search for another club.
But I don't have the feeling that this club doesn't want me. They haven't
told me anything.


"I have talked with coach Frank Rijkaard and he assured me that he still
has confidence in me. I make the decisions. What is important is that I
go where I want to go and not where the people want me to go."


The Dutchman is not thought to be keen on joining Newcastle, and instead
wants to hold out for a move to Arsenal.
