STOCKHOLM, Sweden (AP)— Sweden will play the Netherlands on Aug. 18
in Stockholm, the second friendly marking the 100th anniversary of the
Swedish soccer federation this year.
Sweden has another jubilee friendly against England on March 31.
The Sweden-Netherlands gamne will be the first time the two countries
have met since 1983, unless their paths cross in the European Championship
starting in Portugal in June.
"To face Holland means guaranteed high quality of the opponents, and it
is great that they want to come here and play us in our jubilee game,"
Sweden coach Lars Lagerback said Monday.
