The victory gives Ronald Koeman's side a three point lead on their rivals, while they still have a game in hand. It also ends a poor run of results in this fixture, which they've not won at home in the league since 1995. Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink opened the scoring in the first half when he headed Mark van Bommel's freekick past Maarten Stekelenburg. Ajax got themselves back on level terms on 51 minutes with an emphatic strike from Wesley Sneijder that left Ronald Waterreus helpless. Then minutes later Ajax completed the turn-around after second half substitute Rafael van der Vaart sent up Nicolae Mitea to score at the second attempt. PSV had enough chances to leave the Amsterdam ArenA with at least a point, but Mateja Kezman was denied by the post early in the second half and later on Stekelenburg pulled off a great save to deny the Serb. The defeat is a fresh worry for PSV after revelations on Friday that manager Guus Hiddink has failed to reach an agreement with the clubs board of directors about a new contract.
