'The coming months are very important. So I am very pleased that we created clearness about the future before the start of preparation of the European Championship.' The Dutch will meet Germany, the Czech Republic and Latvia in Group D at Euro 2004 in Portugal which starts on June 12. Ruud Gullit, who had been training the Dutch youth side, agreed terms to end his contract prematurely on June 1 after recently signing a two-year deal with Feyenoord.
