Bayern Munich have joined the queue to sign Ajax ace Rafael van der Vaart
and Bayern boss Ottmar Hitzfeld watched the attacking midfielder in action
for Holland in their mid-week friendly against Greece last week.
Bayern's disappointing season and early departure from the UEFA Champions
League have convinced the club that they are in dire need of new enforcements
if they intend to regain some of their lost status. However, it would seem
unlikely that the German outfit will be able to persuade Van der Vaart to
display his skills in the Bundesliga with Barcelona, Manchester United and
Juventus targeting the Holland international.
