PSV assistant coach Fred Rutten saw how FC Schalke 04, the first opponent in
the UEFA Champions League group phase, and Borussia Monchengladbach were on
equal terms in Veltins Arena on Saturday afternoon. The final score was 1-1.
Kasper Bogelund opened the scoring for the visitors.

It was the second Bundesliga goal that the former PSV defender scored this
season. A sell-out crowd, there were 61, 524 spectators, saw the Dane break
the deadlock on 41 minutes. His country fellow Ebbe Sand cancelled out the
deficit ten minutes into the second half. PSV will meet Schalke in the
Eindhoven Philips Stadium on Tuesday 13 September.
