 MIAMI - Vince Carter remembers all those Knicks-Bulls battles and how Pat
Riley used to do whatever he could to stop Michael Jordan.
Now Riley will try to stop another high-scoring 6-6 North Carolina swingman
in Carter.

"It was all double-teams and physical play, sending different guys at him,"
Carter said of how Riley's Knicks guarded Jordan in the past. "We have other
guys who can take the load. J-Kidd (Jason Kidd) can take the load, R.J.
(Richard Jefferson) definitely can take the load, so can (Nenad Krstic).
We'll just be ready for anything."

Carter said he has seen every type of defense there is dating back to his
Toronto days. Riley certainly will devise something to slow down Carter since
the Nets guard demolished the Heat in the regular season.

Besides averaging 38.5 points, Carter matched his career-high of 51 points
and notched his second career triple-double against the Heat in December.
