Quoting a “person familiar with the Nets’ strategy”, Ken Berger of Newsday
says the Nets “are not looking to trade Vince (Carter)” and that they have
reached out to about 20 “second tier” free agents. Both the Nets and
Knicks have contacted guards Roger Mason, Chris Quinn, and Janerro Pargo,
reports Berger, but two top targets, James Posey and Mickael Pietrus, will
likely be too expensive.
