As Minutes Decline, Favors Drops in Rookie Rankings
Derrick Favors drops in both NBA.com (#8) and ESPN (#5) rookie rankings,
partly because of a decline in minutes, in turn the result of Kris Humphries'
play the last week (10.0 ppg on 56.5% shooting, 12.7 rpg and 2.3 bpg).
Favors averaged only 17 minutes a game in those games and didn't score vs.
the Magic.
Still, as Drew Packham of NBA.com notes, "Favors continues to rank second
among rookies in rebounds, averaging 6.4, trailing only Griffin. He's
especially effective on the offensive glass, a testament to his work ethic."
Thorpe ranks Damion James #35 and Ben Uzoh #48.
