STOCKHOLM, Jan 7 (Reuters) Sweden are seeking compensation from Croatia after a friendly scheduled for next month as part of their warm-up programme for Euro 2004 was cancelled by the Croats, the Swedish football federation said on Wednesday. 'We have started a discussion on compensation as the Croats have broken a deal,' the federation's general secretary Sune Hellstromer told the Swedish news agency TT. Sweden and Croatia, who have both qualified for the European championships in Portugal, were due to meet in an international friendly in Zagreb on February 18 but FIFA has confirmed that Croatia will now face Germany on that date instead. Hellstromer added that the Swedish federation were looking for another team to play on the same day. Croatia have been drawn in Group B with France, England and Switzerland, while Sweden face Bulgaria, Denmark and Italy in Group C. The Euro 2004 group stage kicks off on June 12.
