Liam Gallagher has voiced his support for two up-and-coming bands, Freepeace and Oldham group Twisted Wheel. The Oasis singer, currently in South Africa on the group's world tour, told fans through a web video who he had been listening to recently. "There's a band called Freepeace that are cool," he said. "I think they sound like late-Beatles, to be honest." The group, who feature former La's drummer Nick Miniski, hail from Liverpool and have previously been praised by Noel Gallaher. Liam continued by expressing his interest in Twisted Wheel, who he described as sounding like the Jam and Kasabian. Last month, Noel Gallagher claimed that the current economic downturn was helping reinvigorate the music scene. Source: www.digitalspy.co.uk -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 115.43.149.13
