J.J. Redick talks about idea of being a starter next season
J.J. Redick accepted long ago that he’ll probably never start for the
Orlando Magic. And he’s fine with that.
JJ可以接受他在魔術不打先發。
“I would certainly like to start – every player would like to start – but
I enjoy my role on the Magic and for me, any frustration that I’ve had in
the last few years has been about not winning a championship,” Redick said
Tuesday at his basketball camp in Orlando. “I’m not motivated to start; I’
m motivated to win a championship.”
他說:我愛當先發球員，哪個球員不愛呢!? 但是我很享受現在我在魔術的角色。
對球隊跟我來說，我們這幾年經歷過挫敗，離冠軍幾步之遙。
對我來說，我不頃相當先發，我比較頃像拿冠軍。
“I can control certain things, and that’s not one of the things I can
control,” he said. “I do believe in certain situations, no matter how well
you play, your role is not going to change. Once I accepted that as an NBA
player, I was OK with coming off the bench.”
對於會不會被排到先發的看法
JJ:我自己能決定很多事情，但這件事不是我能決定的。
當我成為NBA球員時，我就知道，不管你打的如何，你要扮演跟努力的目標是不會改變的。
我能接受從板凳出發。
