Victor Oladipo
Points: 15.2 Assists: 5.1 Rebounds: 4.9 Steals: 1.9 Blocks: 0.6

Josh Cohen’s Analysis: These would be impressive stats for a rookie,
especially if he doesn’t start most of the year. His numbers may also
fluctuate depending on which guard position he generally plays.

It’s also likely that Oladipo’s overall numbers will be deflated somewhat
because he will not be expected to carry the Magic in any particular
category. Sure, if he was handed the keys like Damian Lillard was last year
in Portland, it’s certainly within Oladipo’s capacity to rack up
substantial statistics.

However, the Magic are not relying on Oladipo or any one specific player to
light up the box score on any given night.

Cohen’s Analysis: It’s remarkable how significant the jump was for Harris
after joining the Magic last February. Barely on the radar in Milwaukee and
basically unnoticed, Harris transformed into a legit All-Star caliber
performer over a two-month span in Orlando.

If you had to forecast who will lead the Magic in scoring this upcoming
season Harris would probably pop into most people’s minds as the popular
pick.

Considering how much time he is spending in the gym this summer working
diligently on his overall repertoire, there is no reason why Harris’
 statistics won’t improve even more.

Cohen’s Analysis: Vucevic has already set the bar high rebounding wise. He
also has proven to be a quality pick-and-pop scorer because of his proficient
jump shot.

It’s very possible that aside from some added post moves and enhanced touch
around the basket, Vucevic’s offensive arsenal won’t be drastically
different from last season.

His improvements next season will mostly be evaluated based on presentation
rather than tangible numbers. Vucevic must develop more strength to evolve
into a reliable defender and expand his reputation as an intimidator in the
paint.

Maurice Harkless

Cohen’s Analysis: It obviously took half a season for Harkless to find a
rhythm and become somewhat comfortable dealing with the grueling competition
and rigorous NBA schedule. Passive and timorous early, Harkless became more
assertive towards the end of last season.

It wouldn’t surprise me if Harkless’ statistics jumped the most relative to
his teammates. He has been spending countless hours this offseason repairing
his jump shot and, as demonstrated during Summer League, is becoming far more
aggressive in his approach on both ends of the floor.

Mo Harkless 11.2分 5.2籃板 1.8助攻 1.5火鍋 0.9抄截

很明顯花了約半個球季，Harkless摸索著如何在這嚴峻磨人的球季比賽中找到自己的

節奏。從開季時的被動與膽怯，到了球季尾聲，Harkless打的更有信心。如果他的數據

因為隊友而大幅提升的話不要覺得意外，因為在休季時他花了無數個小時，來修正他的

跳投，而且他已經在夏季聯盟中證明了他自己在球場兩端都變得更加積極了。


Andrew Nicholson
Points: 8.5 Assists: 0.5 Rebounds: 4.2 Steals: 0.3 Blocks: 0.6

Cohen’s Analysis: Much will depend on Glen Davis’ health, Tobias Harris’
 adaptability and Jason Maxiell’s immediate contributions. Nicholson, who
already has terrific footwork and finesse down low and a feathery jump shot,
is more of a bystander right now as some of his teammates continue to
transition.

If Big Baby’s foot is not healed by the start of the season, if Harris
proves to be more reliable at the small forward position and if Maxiell doesn
’t adjust right away to his new surroundings than Drew may end up with far
more opportunity to step in and play big minutes.

Nicholson 8.5分 4.2籃板 (*這個....Udonis Halsem差可擬)

大部端看BBD的健康，Harris的調整情況與Maxiell的表現。Nicholson有著優異的進攻

腳步與跳投，比起其他隊友來說，他已經是個準備好的球員。如果開季時BBD未歸隊(*應

該很有可能)，如果Harris表現出他較適合小前鋒的位置，又如果Max不適應這新環境。那

麼Nicholson就會有更多的表現機會。


Arron Afflalo
Points: 16.2 Assists: 3.3 Rebounds: 3.7 Steals: 0.7 Blocks: 0.3

Cohen’s Analysis: Afflalo has progressed every year and his statistics
clearly prove that. Prior to his hamstring injury late last season, Afflalo
had arguably evolved into one of the top shooting guards in the NBA.

If Victor Oladipo spends the majoring of his minutes at point guard and if
Maurice Harkless doesn’t become a two-guard experiment, than Afflalo’s
value and production will grow even more.

Remember, for most of last season, Arron shared minutes with J.J. Redick.
Now, there is more ambiguity who will play behind (or ahead) of him at that
position.

Afflalo 16.2分 3.3助攻 3.7籃板 0.7抄截 (*窮人版右撇Ginobili)

阿福每年的數據都證明了他持續在進步。在他去年受傷之前，他幾乎是NBA裡面頂尖的

得分後衛之一(*我說老外原作是不是越寫越嗨...)如果OLADIPO大部分的時間是在控球

後衛上面，而且Harkless沒有變成二號位置的實驗品，那阿福的數據將會上升些許。

記住，去年大部分時間，阿福的上場時間是被Redick分掉的，現在比較明確適合這位置

的球員只有他。

Jameer Nelson
Points: 14.5 Assists: 7.2 Rebounds: 3.5 Steals: 1.1 Blocks: 0.1

Cohen’s Analysis: Injuries have always been Nelson’s chief antagonist. Yet
despite often being banged up, he is always steadfast and resolute.

With E’Twaun Moore returning, Ronnie Price added and with vagueness about
Victor Oladipo’s primary position, it’s possible for Nelson to share some
of the spotlight this season at the point guard spot.

Nevertheless, Nelson will obviously provide supreme leadership,
professionalism and accountability like he always has during his outstanding
career.

受傷總是Nelson的主要首敵，雖然常常受傷，但是他依舊是那麼的堅固耐用。隨著Moore

Glen Davis

Cohen’s Analysis: It was unfortunate last season when a shoulder injury
preceded a broken foot and wiped out a blossoming year for Big Baby.

It’s been a while since Davis has played full contact basketball and it
remains ambiguous if he will be ready for the start of the season. He had a
second foot procedure earlier this summer to replace a screw that was
inserted during his first surgery.

But as shown in the past, Glen is a warrior and the type of competitor that
will never surrender and always give 100 percent to help his team win.

Davis 14.5分 7.1籃板 2助攻 0.9抄截 (*加個人頭和四肢的四層牛肉堡)

去年不幸的肩膀受傷，而且腳也斷了確實阻礙了大寶貝準備開花結果的一年。BBD已經

有段時間沒能參與劇烈的比賽過，而且對於開季的比賽是否上場也是個問號，休季稍早

他也動了第二個腳的小手術。但跟過去一樣，BBD就是一個戰士永不投降，而且為了贏球

付出百分百的努力。
