O'Neal resolute on return

Pacer says he'll get back to All-Star form -- here or elsewhere


NEW YORK -- Jermaine O'Neal isn't asking for a trade from the Indiana Pacers.
But he knows the business of the NBA and is ready for anything as the Feb. 21
trade deadline approaches.

小歐沒有說賣我

"I have no doubt in myself," O'Neal said after the Pacers' 103-100 victory
over New York at Madison Square Garden on Wednesday.

我對我自己的能力沒有懷疑。

"I believe anywhere I go, once my knee is right, I'm going to get back to
that (All-Star) level. Next year, wherever I'm at, whether it's Indy or
wherever else, I'm not going to miss the All-Star (Game) and my team is not
going to be struggling."

只要我的膝蓋健康，不管哪裡我都能重返全明星層級。
下個球季，不管我在印城或是其他地方，我不會錯過全明星比賽。
擁有我的球隊將不會處於掙扎窘境。

O'Neal missed his 10th straight game as he rehabilitates the left knee that
was surgically repaired after last season. Coach Jim O'Brien said before the
game the team expects O'Neal back after the All-Star break, which ends Feb.
20 for the Pacers, but neither he nor O'Neal offered a timetable for a return.
"I always seem to come back a little too early," O'Neal said. "I'm not going
to come back early this time."

小歐連續缺陣9場起因於上季舊傷。歐比王說球隊希望小歐在全明星週回來，大約20號。
不論是歐比王或是小歐都沒有提出明確回歸時程。
小歐說我總是認為現在回來太早，我不打算在這早的時間點歸隊。

O'Brien gave no indication before the game that the team is trying to trade
O'Neal. He said he and team president Larry Bird talk daily about the roster,
but declined to divulge what they're looking for to improve the team.
"We are looking for wins," O'Brien said. "That's what we're looking for. My
job is to take care of what's on the court."
