Pacers Sign Solomon Jones
The Indiana Pacers announced Thursday they have signed free agent forward
Solomon Jones to a multi-year contract. Jones is a 6-10, 245-pound
forward/center who played his first three seasons in the NBA with the Atlanta
Hawks. He averaged 3.0 points and 2.3 rebounds with the Hawks last season in
just under 11 minutes a game. “He’s a young, athletic player who has
improved each year he has been in the league,” said Pacers President of
Basketball Larry Bird. “He definitely can help hold down our interior
defense and we believe he can be part of what we’re trying to do here.”
